NOVA SEALER PLUS

Bioactive Glass and Mineral Trioxide Aggregate-Based, Epoxy Resin Containing Root Canal Filling Material

NOVA SEALER PLUS is a bioactive root canal filling material based on bioactive glass and mineral trioxide aggregates and containing epoxy resin. NOVA SEALER PLUS is a root canal filling material in paste form in a tube.

It is a new product that combines the proven advantages and superior properties of MTA and bioactive glass with root canal filling paste.

When bioactive glasses come into contact with body fluids, a series of surface reactions take place within minutes, causing the pH of the environment to rise, and as the reaction chain continues, a hydroxycarbonapat ite (HCA) layer is formed, which is chemically and structurally very similar to the mineral compositoin of the tooth. This apatite layer forms the basis for the bonding of the material to the tooth. Thanks to the MTA and bioactive glass content, excellent sealing (by hardening expansion), seal integrity (by low solubility) and high biological regeneration (by the release of calcium and phosphate ions and their antimicrobial effect) are achieved. The flowable consistency of Nova Sealer Plus is designed to penetrate and fill the ducts at the same time.
